Our Businesses

Four businesses.
Every node
of the cycle.

VDC owns and operates a business at each stage of the continuous care cycle. They share one platform, one patient record, and one clinical intelligence system — and they make each other stronger because of it.

Remote Care Virtual Care Data

Dental.com is the consumer-facing brand that brings the cycle to patients on their own terms. It is the most visible front door into the VDC ecosystem — giving anyone, anywhere, access to AI-powered oral screening, licensed virtual dental consultations, provider matching, and emergency guidance without an appointment, a referral, or a dental chair.

But Dental.com is more than a patient acquisition channel. It is the node where VDC's AI applications are most concentrated — and where the cycle's consumer promise is tested against real patient behavior at scale. Every Dental.com interaction writes to the shared Teledentix EHR, feeds the data layer, and makes the AI models that power Smart Scan progressively more accurate.

The Dental.com Office product extends the brand into the in-person node — embedding an AI-powered practice chatbot into dental office websites, converting visitor interest into scheduled appointments without changing how the practice operates. It is how Dental.com serves the provider side of the cycle, not just the patient side.

AI Smart Scan — Photo-based oral health screening, clinician-reviewed, results returned via generative AI interface. The primary entry point into the remote care node.
Virtual consultations — Access to the TNI licensed dentist network, directly from Dental.com. Urgent triage available 24/7. Scheduled consultations, second opinions, and care coordination.
Dentist Match — AI-powered provider directory, continuously verified, with procedure cost benchmarking by geography. Bridges the virtual and in-person nodes.
Emergency AI Coach — Step-by-step dental emergency guidance, available without login or appointment. Reduces unnecessary ER visits and connects patients to care.
Dental.com Office — AI chatbot for dental practice websites. Engages visitors, answers clinical questions, and schedules appointments. Available as a standalone subscription for any practice.

Business 02 · Clinical Network
Teledentistry
Network, Inc.
Virtual Care In-Person Referral

Teledentistry Network, Inc. is the clinical engine at the heart of the virtual care node. TNI is a dental service organization built specifically for teledentistry — operating the nation's largest network of credentialed, licensed dentists available for virtual consultations 24 hours a day, across all 50 states.

Most telehealth platforms access clinical networks as a third-party service. VDC owns TNI — which means the clinical layer of the cycle is not a vendor relationship. It is infrastructure VDC controls, optimizes, and continuously improves based on direct operational experience. The quality of care, the response time benchmarks, the credentialing standards, the warm referral protocols — all of it is managed by VDC, not outsourced.

TNI also provides virtual clinical coverage for VDC's white-label payer partners — operating under the partner's brand while delivering care through the same network, the same standards, and the same Teledentix infrastructure.

24/7 licensed dentist availability — Credentialed dentists available around the clock for urgent triage, scheduled consultations, and care coordination. Average response time under 60 minutes for urgent cases.
All-50-state licensure coverage — TNI dentists are licensed in the states required to serve each patient. VDC manages the licensure matrix — partners and patients don't need to.
Smart Scan pre-load — When a patient enters a TNI consultation after completing a Smart Scan, the dentist receives the scan results, risk score, and flagged findings before the session begins. No redundant intake. Full clinical context from the first exchange.
Warm referral generation — TNI dentists issue structured referrals to in-person providers — with clinical notes, scan results, and treatment recommendations attached. The in-person provider receives context, not just a name.
White-label clinical operations — TNI powers the virtual care benefit for VDC's payer partners under their brand. Members interact with their carrier's experience. TNI delivers the clinical substance behind it.

Remote Care In-Person Care Data

Mobile Outreach Subscriptions is VDC's business unit serving the emerging ecosystem of providers who deliver oral health care outside the traditional dental office — mobile van operators, school-based programs, community health organizations, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and public health agencies. It is the segment where in-person care reaches the populations least likely to walk into a traditional dental practice.

This segment is, deliberately, the wild west. Dozens of providers are building their own delivery models. Many are startups. Each has different workflows, different population characteristics, different regulatory environments, and different technology needs. No single software solution fits all of them — and conventional practice management software was not designed for any of them.

MOS exists because VDC recognized that Teledentix's mobile capabilities needed to be continuously adapted to fit these diverse delivery models — and that this adaptation work was both a service VDC could charge for and a strategic investment in becoming the platform of record for the segment as it matures and consolidates.

Teledentix mobile configuration — Teledentix adapted to the specific workflows, consent requirements, and data capture needs of each mobile provider's delivery model. Scoped, built, and supported as a paid engagement.
Offline-capable Smart Scan — Photo capture and patient intake work without connectivity. Data syncs when the device reconnects — critical for school gyms, community centers, and rural mobile events.
Medicaid and grant documentation — FQHC-compatible encounter documentation for Medicaid billing. Structured program reports for HRSA, state, and foundation grant compliance. Reduces administrative burden on clinical teams.
School-based program support — Digital consent management integrated with student information systems. State-formatted screening completion reports. Medicaid billing for qualifying students — often offsetting 90% or more of program costs.
White-label / OEM customization — Mobile providers who want their own branded application get Teledentix customized to their model — their workflow, their brand, their data ownership. As the segment consolidates, these become long-term platform relationships.

"The mobile delivery segment is fragmented today. The companies that survive consolidation will need a platform — and they'll choose the one that already understands their workflows. That's why we built MOS."

All Four Nodes Shared EHR AI Architecture

Teledentix is simultaneously a VDC business asset and the platform that makes every other VDC business function. It is the connective tissue of the cycle — the shared EHR spine, the AI engine, the integration layer, the data infrastructure, and the compliance architecture that ties Dental.com, TNI, and MOS into a single, continuously improving system.

As a business, Teledentix generates revenue through platform access fees for white-label partners, OEM customization engagements for mobile delivery providers, and API access for organizations building on top of the cycle. As the mobile delivery segment matures, Teledentix's position as the only platform built from the inside of every node makes it the natural operating system for the industry.

VDC's development team oversees and prioritizes the Teledentix roadmap based on direct operational feedback from all three other businesses. When a TNI dentist encounters a workflow problem, or a MOS field worker needs a capability that doesn't exist, or Dental.com generates a patient behavior pattern that suggests a new feature — that feedback travels directly to the development team. No other platform in oral health has this feedback loop.

Shared EHR spine — One patient record, readable and writable at every node. The technical foundation that makes continuity of care possible across remote, virtual, and in-person encounters.
AI at five cycle points — Photo analysis, generative AI results interface, practice chatbot, network intelligence, and emergency coaching. Not bolt-ons — each built in response to a specific operational need.
White-label deployment — Six major national payer partnerships live. Teledentix deployed under partner brands in under 90 days. Full compliance infrastructure — HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2 — inherited by every partner.
OEM / mobile customization — Teledentix adapted to fit the delivery model of mobile providers who need their own application. Revenue today, platform entrenchment as the segment consolidates.
Operator-driven development — The roadmap is set by VDC's operating businesses, not by market analysis. Every major Teledentix capability was built because a VDC business needed it first.

"Teledentix gets better because VDC's businesses give it problems to solve. No competitor can replicate that — they'd have to operate the same businesses for the same decade."

What They Share

Four businesses. One infrastructure.
Each makes the others stronger.

The cycle only works because all four businesses run on the same platform, write to the same patient record, and feed the same AI models. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts — and the parts are already substantial.

One Patient Record
A single longitudinal EHR follows the patient across every node — Dental.com Smart Scan, TNI virtual consult, MOS field visit, outcome data. No re-entry, no gaps, no lost context at handoff.
Shared AI Models
Every completed cycle — scan through consult through treatment through outcome — generates labeled training data. The Smart Scan AI improves because all four businesses produce the outcomes that train it.
Inherited Compliance
HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2 Type II, Azure hosting, annual pen testing — maintained once by VDC, inherited by all four businesses and every external partner. No redundant compliance overhead.
Operator Feedback Loop
Three operating businesses continuously surface real problems to the Teledentix development team. Every major platform capability was built because a VDC business needed it first — not because a product manager inferred it from a user survey.
